Midget LL #2 are Earl Gaukel Tournament Champions
Congrats to the our Midget Local League Team #2 Eagles Tournament on winning the Earl Gaukel Tournament this past weekend in St. George, Ontario.
Our Eagles were impressive on the ice, going undefeated for the weekend!
With strong round robin wins against two Barrie squads, they won 4-1 against Barrie - Orange and 7-0 against their Sky Blue team. They wrapped up their round robin with a strong 6-0 win over the West Grey Warriors.
In the Semi finals, our Eagles continued their win streak with a 6-2 victory over Woolwich, which earned them a berth in the Championship game against the Newcastle Stars. Our Eagles did not disappoint and proved they were the class of the field with a 5-0 win to take the Championship!
The Coaching staff were proud of all the players for adhering to their “Plan. Their hard work ethic and self discipline paid off in a very successful weekend on the ice. Great job Eagles!!!
