Novice Scrimmage Ice Times - Sept 24 & 25
Well our hockey season is officially underway!

It was great seeing all the different players out on the ice this past weekend.  Have to thank Rick McGlone (our EGMHA Vice President) and all the on ice helpers, and off ice assessors for their hard work during our first weekend of evaluations.

Evaluations will continue this weekend with our scrimmage games.  This is the first year we are incorporating scrimmages as part of our player evaluations, we are hoping that they will allow us to verify what the coaches saw last weekend and give a better rating for each player before the teams are put together.

Everyone should have received an email from me, noting which team your child has been assigned to for our scrimmages this weekend.  Ice times were also provided in the email, if you did not receive a message please let me know and I will update your contact information and send again.

Ice Times this coming weekend (Sept 24 & 25th) are as follows:

Team # Saturday Sunday
 Team 1  10:00 am  8:30 am
 Team 2  10:00 am  9:30 am
 Team 3  11:00 am  8:30 am
 Team 4  11:00 am  9:30 am

Please be reminded that for insurance purposes it is mandatory that each player be in full hockey protective equipment, this also includes a neck guard, mouth guard and a helmet with a cage.  Until the teams have been assigned, then your child will also require hockey socks and jersey You should also bring a labelled water bottled for your child - they can bring it right on the bench with them.

We are also still looking for a Convener for the Novice Division.  I have agreed to help out until there is someone in place. The job isn't hard and you would receive lots of help. I loved doing it last year but this year I have become more involved with the association with managing equipment and our website so I just don't have the time to give all your players the attention they deserve.  If you are interested, or think you may be and just want more information then please get in touch with Chris Nesbitt, VP House League.

Thanks
Jen Mackey
