NOVICE - First Team Practices and Games this weekend
Our coaches met last night and participated in their team selection draft.  It was all pretty routine until we had an exciting late four player trade!

Teams are now set and everyone should have received an email notifying your of your player's coach.

For the next couple of weeks, on the EGMHA website, you will see your ice times under your Team #. The ice times for most of the season for your team should now be available via the EGMHA website.  If you click your team # name on the left of the league webpage, it will take you to your team site.  Then you can click the calendar link to go to your team schedule.  There are instructions on how to link your Outlook or smart phone calendars to this page.  The advantage of linking the info, is that it will update automatically if there are any changes.

Currently the teams are listed not by colour but rather by Team Number (this should be changed soon).

Team colours for this year are:

Team 1 = Red Team (Head Coach:  Chuck West)

Team 2 = Orange Team (Head Coach: David James)

Team 3 = White Team (Head Coach: Dave Jackson)

Team 4 = Blue Team (Head Coach: Dayle Lewis)

Our first games will be on Sunday this weekend, and for the first couple of weeks we will be doing a buzzer to switch lines and will also have a coach on the ice to help with players understand off sides, face offs and positions. Goalies for the start of the season will switch sides.

Your coaches will be in touch with you but will note that we are asking each family to try and limit one parent in the dressing room before games (the east rink dressing rooms are smaller than the west side), and that after practices and games that parents not hang out in the dressing room hallway or enter the room until a couple minutes after the session so that the coaches can address the players.  It can get quite distracting when the room is full with parents.

Can’t wait to see all your players out there this weekend!
