Minor Atoms Advance to Round 2 of OMHA Playdowns
Congrats to our Minor Atom Eagles who advanced to the second round of the OMHA Minor Atom A Playdowns this weekend after defeating the Barrie Colts 6-3 in the series deciding Game 5.
Our Eagles started off the series with a solid 5-3 win in Barrie, followed with a come from behind overtime win (5-4) at home. However, the Colts are always tough and battled back to the take the next two games 4-0 and 5-1. Leading to the final and deciding game of the series this past Saturday in Barrie. Our Eagles came out of the gate strong with an early lead, and fought hard for the 6-3 win.
Next, the Minor Atom Eagles will be facing the Innisfil Winterhawks in the second round of the OMHA Playdowns. Action kicks off this Tuesday, February 7 at 6:00 pm at the Innisfil Recreation Centre. Game two of the series will be at home at the East Gwillimbury Sports Complex on Monday, February 13 at 7:00 pm.
