The Dunsmuir Memorial Tournament
The Dunsmuir Memorial Tournament has been named in honour of the Dunsmuir Family. On March 29, 2013 the community of East Gwillimbury tragically lost Kevin, Jenny, Robert, and Cameron Dunsmuir. They were remarkable members of our community and they always supported the sport of hockey and the EGMHA.
Having been involved in hockey in various capacities over the years, the Dunsmuir family were very supportive of each other, the teams they were a part of, and the community as a whole.
All three boys: David, Robert and Cameron started their hockey careers in East Gwillimbury. Robert went on to be drafted to the Owen Sound Attack and he continued to mentor and help train young goalies in East Gwillimbury.
The Dunsmuir family really impacted a lot of young hockey players’ lives, on and off of the ice touching the lives of everyone they met. Kind, caring and generous people who understood the importance of contributing to their community.
To honour the Dunsmuir family we ask you to play hard and support the love of hockey.
