Competitive Player Pathway
BREAKING NEWS!  Beginning in 2024/25, EGMHA is planning to try and run U7 U8 and U9 Select Teams to compete in the new YSMHL Competitive Pathway Program (CPP).

CPP Select players will enjoy additional training and development from Hockey Canada Certified coaches in a competitive and fun environment. The program provides an on ramp for future Rep Players by playing games within a division of neighbouring York Simcoe Minor Hockey League Associations.

CPP Select is an extension of House League and open to all players on an evaluation basis. CPP Select is designed to give our youngest players a fun, comprehensive and age-appropriate hockey development experience in accordance with the Hockey Canada Pathway and Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) Player Development Model and EGMHA is excited to try and bring it to East Gwillimbury!

This program has been developed with the goal of providing players and their families with a more consistent, time-efficient hockey schedule primarily on local rinks in our communities.  The focus is on development for pathway age players and families that want more access to hockey than House League alone.

The Program is sanctioned by the OMHA and YSMHL and will begin in the 2024-25 minor hockey season.
