General Information (EGMHA)

PrintGeneral Information

Registration for the 2024/25 season is now open!

After early bird registration closes on July 31, 2024, based on the number of players registered the Association will then confirm how many teams we will be icing for the 2024-25 season. These team numbers will determine how many registration spots remain available within each age group. We will then reopen registration in August and accept registration until all available spots have been filled.

Once the spots have been filled anyone else wishing to enroll in the EGMHA will be placed on a waitlist. It is important to register by July 31st to avoid disappointment and to not miss the opportunity to play hockey with EGMHA this season.

The season will start in mid to late September, exact date to be determined. We cannot provide playing ice times for the divisions till we finalize our ice schedule with the Town of East Gwillimbury at the end of August. We try to keep the ice times consistent throughout the season, but game/practice schedules are subject to change and there is no guarantee of a weekly practice and/or game due to ice availability.

The following prices are in effect until July 31st, 2024.
All fees increase by $100 for the U9 to U15 divisions on August 1st, 2024

FIRST TIME REGISTRATION PLAYER REGISTRATION

1. To be able to register online with EGMHA, a player requires a Hockey Canada profile and ID number. Parents can create a profile for their child by completing the Parents Respect in sport program. Note:  If you have already completed the course for another child or for another sport, please add your new player to your RIS Parent profile. Once added you can proceed to the online registration.

The Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) mandates that at least one parent must complete the Respect in Sport Parent Program as "a condition of participation" for their child registered with EGMHA.  In other words, if at least one parent does not complete the course your son/s and/or daughter/s will be ineligible to play in all hockey programs - House League, Rep, MD and Select until such time this one-hour online education course has been successfully completed. Further information on this program and how to register can be found by reading the “Respect in Sport Parent” document we have linked below. There is a cost to do this clinic, $12 plus HST.
