On March 21st, something special happened at the Major Atom game that our EG Eagles played against the Whitby Wildcats. Both teams banded together to show their support for World Down Syndrome day by wearing mismatched socks during their exhibition game.
Every year on March 21st, Down Syndrome International invites people across the world to wear LOTS
OF SOCKS to raise awareness on World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD). Both teams did a great job on helping to raise awareness of what Down Syndrome is, understanding what it means to have Down Syndrome, and how people with Down Syndrome play a vital role in our lives and communities.
