Minor Atom and Midget Eagles York Simcoe Medalists
Submitted By EGMHA Webmaster (JM) on Friday, March 31, 2017
Congratulations to our Midget and Minor Atom A Representative Teams on their successful seasons.  Both teams have a tournament victory and were silver medalists in the York Simcoe Championship series.

Minor Atom Eagles played a grueling series against the always tough Barrie Colts. This was the second time the Eagles faced the Colts in the post season after having knocked them out of the OMHA Playdowns in a close 5 game series.  With the Eagles short up front, they knew it would be a challenging series.  In the end the Colts would not be denied and laid claim to the title in Game 5 on Wednesday night. The team finishes the season off with an impressive record of 39-19-4.

Midget A Eagles continued to get stronger the longer their season went and made an impressive post season run that ended with them facing the top seeded Markham Waxers in their Championship Series.  In three exciting games our Eagles played their hearts out but were unable to find a way around the Waxers who won the series at home on March 25th.  The team finishes the season with a solid record of 23-17-5.
