EGMHA Hosting First Shift Program in the Fall
Submitted By EGMHA Webmaster (JM) on Friday, June 1, 2018
Do you have a child aged 6-10 that is ready to fall in love with hockey?

EGMHA is looking for local families whose children have never before participated in hockey to join our First Shift program this Fall (starts in October).

Registration opens at noon today for the 2018-19 Canadian Tire First Shift program.

The Canadian Tire First Shift is open to boys and girls, between the ages of 6 and 10 years old, who have never previously enrolled in minor hockey within Canada.  It truly is an unique experience designed to help your child fall in love with hockey before you buy all the gear.

The six-week learn to play program focuses on having fun while learning basic skills.

Registration is just $199, which includes full head-to-toe equipment.

EGMHA’s maximum for enrollment is 30 participants and based on experiences of neighbouring communities, we expect the program to sell out.

If you are an East Gwillimbury resident or know a family who would be interested, please share with them this information and the following link: http://www.firstshift.ca/for-players

The First Shift has been designed to to break down barriers to entry by offering a program that is accessible, affordable, and most importantly, fun!  We are excited to show you what we love so much about our sport, see in you October!
