Tyke Select
Submitted By Eric Kopsala on Wednesday, June 27, 2018
EGMHA is pleased to announce that we will be offering a tyke select program in addition to houseleague for the 2018-2019 season as defined by OMHA in the new Novice and under programming.

Some things we can share at this time:

  • The Tyke select team will be available to players born in 2011  (7 year olds).
  • Tyke select players will not play on an internal House League team.
  • This is a traveling team, playing half-ice 4-on-4 plus a goalie with one official (referee) and no score kept
  • Up to three jamborees will be allowed after December 1
  • Residency Rules apply (player must be an EG resident to play on this team)
  • Coach applications will be accepted in early October
  • Additional costs will be estimated and communicated prior to team selection
  • There will be no tryout for this team.  In Mid-October, as part of a balancing exercise, players will be identified by the association to play on this team.  Parents may choose to not have their player on this team if they wish.
  • Once the team is created, a coach will be selected
  • The schedule for the remainder of the season will be determined in early November.

We will share information along once specifics are identified, and have scheduled a Tyke parent information session on August 21st.
