PTS Forms and NRP Cards
PTS Forms are available to all players from U10 to U18 (Starting at birth year 2013) who wish to try out for AAA hockey. This year the request form for PTS forms will be available after April 11th 2022.

NRP Cards are available to all players from U12 to U18 (Starting at Birth year 2011) who wish to try out for AA hockey. This year the request form for NRP cards for teams with Spring Tryouts (U14-16) will be available after April 18th 2022.

PTS Forms

PTS Forms are available to all players from U10 to U18 (Starting at birth year 2013) who wish to try out for AAA hockey. This year PTS form will be available after April 11th 2022.

East Gwillimbury residents are associated with the York Simcoe AAA Zone and must report there first to try out for AAA. If you wish to try out in any AAA centre other than York Simcoe you will require a release from the York Simcoe Express in order to do so.

The following exemption applies:

 - U14 to U16, you may try out at any of the AAA zone teams listed at the top of your PTS form. You are not required to obtain a release from the York Simcoe Express to do so.

The PTS form once requested will be sent to the email indicated on the request form.
 


NRP Cards

NRP Cards are available to all players from U12 to U18 (Starting at Birth year 2011) who wish to try out for AA hockey. This year request form for NRP cards will be available after April 18th 2022 for players in the U14-16 age groups who are doing Spring Tryouts. Cards for the U12, U13 and U18 age groups would be available prior to their tryouts in the Fall.

East Gwillimbury residents are eligible to receive 1 (one) NRP card per season to try out at AA centre. NRP cards are centre specific so you must state which centre you will be trying out in and the NRP card will be issued for that centre. If you do not make the team in that centre you are not able to get another card. Once you have requested your card, it will NOT be changed.

The NRP Card is in hardcopy format, the pick up window for the cards will be Thurs April 28th, in the EGMHA Hockey Office at the EG Sports Complex. This is only time a volunteer will be available for pick up.  

FAQs

Q. I played AAA in another centre last year, do I need a permission to skate form this year?

A. Yes, at the end of the season all players revert to there home centre. You will require a new PTS form to try out for AAA this year.

Q. Can I go wherever I want to try out for AAA?

A. The rules for where you are permitted to try out are specific to your age, all rules are on the PTS form.

Q. I did not make my zone AAA team, can I get another PTS form to try out at another AAA centre.

A. No, you will require a release form from your home AAA centre in order to try out for another AAA centre. Some exceptions may apply, please check your PTS form for details.

Q. I played AA in another centre last year, do I need am NRP card to try out again this year?

A. Yes, at the end of the season all players revert to there home centre. You will require a new NRP card each year to try out for AA

Q. I would like to try out in another centre for A hockey can I get an NRP card for A?

A. No, East Gwillimbury is an A centre no matter what level your team is playing at (we sometimes have A teams that participate in a AA loop) you are unable to try out for A at another centre.
