The Executive Board of Directors would like to announce the results of the representative reorganization vote East Gwillimbury - 82% in favour Georgina - 88 % in favour Pending OMHA Board Approval Upper York Minor Hockey will now become a full time representative hockey association that will provide a permanent home offering multiple skill levels at each age group for many players from both East Gwillimbury and Georgina for years to come. We are now accepting applications for Head Coaches for the 2024-25 season for U8 and U9 MD teams, the new CPP U7, U8 and U9 Select teams, and all House League and Local League teams. Applications for U8 and U9 MD and the CPP Select teams will close on April 30th. Closure dates for House League and Local League Head Coach applications will be closing on July 31st. 

EGMHA is putting a callout for interested coaches & hockey volunteers to assist and participate on a development committee that will organize and direct EGMHA's player and coach development moving forward. The committee will be overseen by whomever is the Director of Player and Coach Development from the EGMHA Executive - currently Brad Russell. We are looking to get individuals from across all the age groups in order to ensure good coverage of EGMHA's programming.

As a follow up to the recent implementation of the Initiation Program, beginning in the 2020-2021 season all Hockey Canada Members will be mandated to follow the Novice and Atom Player Pathways. The Player Pathways are progressive, learn to play development guides that support the player development continuum from Initiation Programming through to Atom. The Pathways outline optimal seasonal structures and age appropriate development guidelines.
