Tyke Houseleague, 2014-2015 (EGMHA)

The Year End Banquet for our Tykes is on Sunday March 29th from 9:00 am - 10:00 am in the community room located at the West end of the rink. ​ Players please wear your jerseys! Players will be served waffles, fruit and a juice box for breakfast. Those volunteering with the waffle breakfast are asked to be at the arena by 8:15 with their toaster and pizza cutter or kitchen scissors.  We will be toasting all waffles before our 9am start.  Family members are welcome to attend, we will try to have a time for pictures of all teams with their medals. 

To end the year we will be having a fun inter-squad tournament for the tyke players.   Due to the number of players in the tyke division each team will have 2 teams based on the skill levels of the players (Red or Blue stickers that are on their helmets). This will minimize the number of players on the ice at a time and make it fair for all of the players.    Schedule: • Each game will be 15 minutes in length with a 3 minute change over • The timer will go off every 2 minutes to signal a line change

Great day with some of our Tyke and Novice families at the Toronto Marlies game on March 7th.   Not only did our young Eagles get to sit on the bench and hold the Canadian Flag during the opening ceremonies, they were also able to see some real Canadian heroes as it was also the Canadian Armed Forces Appreciation Day and over 300 members of the Canadian Armed Forces were in attendance.  Made this parent extremely proud to see a couple of players say thank you to the soldiers on their way out after the game!
