Minor Atom A team wins the Ajax Break The Ice Tournament
Congratulations to our Minor Atom A-team on their successful weekend in the “Ajax Break the Ice Tournament”.  Our Eagles had six great games to start their season!

They opened the tournament with a 4-0 win against the Hespler Shamrocks.  In their 2nd game of the day the Eagles played a strong game against the Whitby Wildcats, losing 5-2.

On Saturday, they battled another strong game against the Kingston Canadians.  Unfortunately, they came out with 3-2 loss, a game that could have went either way.  This loss put us into 4th place.  The second game of the day, 4th of the tournament was do or die.  Once again against the Hespler Shamrocks.  Hespler not wanting to go home tied the game late in the game.  An exciting shoot out, with an Eagle win and for a spot in the Semi Finals on Sunday.

The semi-final was a rematch against the Kingston Canadians.  It was a great game and the boys battled hard for a 4-2 win to head to the Championships!

The Championships, the second game of the day the 6th game of the tournament, The Eagles faced the Innisfil Winterhawks.  With lots to prove after being our biggest battle last season with two play down series against the Winterhawks it was sure to be an exciting game.  Neither team disappointed, but The Eagles wanted their first tournament win of the season!!  With a 4-2 win over the Winterhawks, they were crowned tournament champions!!!
