Mary Parkinson Memorial Tournament Champions
Congratulations to the East Gwillimbury Eagles Novice A players and coaches for winning the cup at the Mary Parkinson Memorial Tournament in Richmond Hill this past weekend.




Heading into the semi finals Sunday morning with 2 wins and 2 losses in their pockets they were sure to face a challenge against Centre Wellington Fusion. At the end of regulation time the game was tied and we were headed into 3 on 3 sudden death overtime. At the end of the 5 min OT the Eagles would be face with shoot outs. After an outstanding effort by our shooters and our goalie we took the win of this nail biting game and were headed to the finals later that day.

In the Championship game the Eagles were up against the Nepean Raiders. The Eagles took the lead in the second but found themselves trailing 2-1 in the third.
With 4 minutes left in the game the Eagles scored to tie it up. 2-2.
with 0.3 seconds left the Eagles did not give up and scored to take the win and became the tournament champs with a 3-2 win over the Nepean Raiders.
