Novice House League, 2016-2017 (EGMHA)

Thanks to everyone who came out to our first tryout last night. We have notified all players via email as to whether to come back next week to the second session. The second tryout is scheduled for Thurs Oct 27 at 5:30pm Cost once again will be $15/player If you did not receive an email and are unsure whether to attend, please get in contact with Jeff Mackey for clarification. The first Tyke Select Tryout will be on Thursday, October 20th from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Try Out #2 - Thursday, October 27th from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. House League players born in 2009 or 2010 are eligible to try out for the Tyke Select team.  All players will be evaluated on their skills and game play.  Ensure your player arrives early to each try out to register and be assigned a pinny.   Cost: $15.00/session

Our coaches met last night and participated in their team selection draft.  It was all pretty routine until we had an exciting late four player trade! Teams are now set and everyone should have received an email notifying your of your player's coach.   For the next couple of weeks, on the EGMHA website, you will see your ice times under your Team #. Well our hockey season is officially underway! It was great seeing all the different players out on the ice this past weekend.  Have to thank Rick McGlone (our EGMHA Vice President) and all the on ice helpers, and off ice assessors for their hard work during our first weekend of evaluations. Evaluations will continue this weekend with our scrimmage games.  This is the first year we are incorporating scrimmages as part of our player evaluations, we are hoping that they will allow us to verify what the coaches saw last weekend and give a better rating for each player before the teams are ...

The start of our hockey season is quickly approaching.    This weekend will be our first on the ice, information you may find useful is below.     Our first weekend will be on the West Rink at the East Gwillimbury Sports Complex and ice times this first weekend will be: Saturday Sept 17 @ 10:00 am to 12:00 pm  10:00 am for players with last names starting with A to L 11:00 am for players with last names starting with M to Z Sunday Sept 18 @ 7:00 to 9:00 am 7:00 am for players with last names starting with M to Z 8:00 am for players with last names starting with A to L
